About us
We’re more than just proton packs and jumpsuits. Every appearance, every event, and every photo opportunity is a chance to give back. All donations we collect go directly to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, helping children and families across British Columbia.
Mission
our Mission
Bust ghosts for good causes.
We raise funds for qualified charities across British Columbia and shine a spotlight on worthy causes—all while suited up and spreading smiles through cosplay events. Create with purpose. From crafting props to conjuring digital art and tech wizardry, we embrace the creative spirit to bring the Ghostbusters universe to life—and inspire others to do the same. Build the family. We're here to connect fans, makers, and cosplayers, forging a strong, supportive community grounded in a shared love for the Ghostbusters legacy.

Preamble
Code of Conduct – Okanagan Ghostbusters Style
At the heart of the Okanagan Ghostbusters mission is a simple but powerful goal: to raise funds for local charities and shine a proton beam of awareness on great causes—all through the power of cosplay and community. Our members are committed to upholding the highest standard of ethical conduct, because being a Ghostbuster means more than just looking the part—it means doing good, acting with integrity, and representing the fandom with pride.
Our ethical norms are the standard-issue gear every member carries with them: respect, responsibility, and professionalism at every event or function.
Our core values are the guiding principles that drive our choices, fuel our actions, and shape how we treat each other and the communities we serve. They're what help us keep the spirit of the Ghostbusters alive—on and off duty.
When you put on the uniform, you're not just busting ghosts—you’re representing a cause, a community, and a code. As Okanagan Ghostbusters, we uphold the following:
our Code of Ethics
Confidentiality
Ghostbusters don’t spill secrets. Members must protect any sensitive information learned through their involvement in the society—this includes details about fellow members, donors, or community partners. Keep discussions professional and private; even casual comments in public spaces can be overheard and misinterpreted. Conflict of Interest Our loyalty is to the mission. Members must avoid any activity that might conflict with the interests of the society.
Accepting gifts (except charitable donations made to the organization) without prior approval from the Board is a no-go. Also, expenses won’t be reimbursed unless approved in advance.
Transparency is key. Do No Harm We fight ghosts, not people. Members are expected to act with care, integrity, and in full compliance with laws and policies. That means zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, threats, or physical/verbal misconduct. Our events should be safe and inclusive for everyone.
Representing the Society
We're a team—and our voices should reflect that. Members, especially board members, are expected to speak with unity. Public criticism of the group, its members, donors, or partners is considered misconduct. Internal disagreements should be handled respectfully and in accordance with the Society Bylaws.
Respectful Conduct
Suit up right, act right. Members should dress appropriately, use respectful language, and present themselves in a manner that reflects well on the Okanagan Ghostbusters. Alcohol and illegal or controlled substances have no place while you're on duty at events.
Ethical Values
As Okanagan Ghostbusters, we strive to embody the following values in everything we do:
Accountability
We own our actions, follow through on commitments, and aim to deliver results that make a difference. Collaboration Teamwork makes the proton stream work. We share knowledge, support one another, and build partnerships that amplify our impact.
Community & Inclusivity
Everyone belongs. We celebrate diversity and take responsibility for creating a welcoming, respectful environment where all members feel valued.
Ethical Leadership We lead with purpose, listen actively, innovate boldly, and encourage leadership at every level. Growth and learning are part of our DNA.
Integrity
We keep it real—truthful, transparent, and consistent. We do what’s right, even when no one's watching, and we learn from our mistakes.
Responsible Stewardship
We honor the time, talent, and generosity of our members and supporters. Every dollar raised, every hour volunteered, is treated with care and purpose. Together, we answer the call—not just to entertain, but to inspire, uplift, and do some real good in our communities.
And Ray…. If someone asks if you’re ready to uphold these principles? You say: YES!
Board of directors
Board of directors
Meet our Board of Directors: the brave souls who keep the containment unit sealed, the Ecto-1 fueled, and the paperwork from turning into Class 5 free-roaming bureaucratic horrors and Managing Very Paranormal Situations. While they may not all carry proton packs, they definitely know how to cross the streams of leadership and ghostly logistics without causing total dimensional collapse (most of the time).
